Ask yourself this: how do I want to be remembered ?

About Life

I felt like making this page, because I wanted to collect some statements and quotes that are just simply spot-on concerning human life on this planet. I strongly identify myself with most of them.

“When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life, so that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice.”
~ Cherokee expression

“Nothing in the world is more dangerous than a sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.”
~ Martin Luther King

“And when I’m watchin the news, and my daughter walks in and choose to ask, ‘Why were all those people on the floor sleepin, covered in red?’
I told her that they were lookin for God, but found religion instead”
~ De La Soul

“Do not follow where the path may lead. Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Make the most of yourself, for that is all there is of you.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Idleness is not doing nothing. Idleness is being free to do anything.”
~ Floyd Dell

“I pity the fool who goes out tryin’ a’ take over da world, then runs home cryin’ to his momma!”
~ B.A. Baracus

“The seven blunders that human society commits and cause all the violence: wealth without work, pleasure without conscience, knowledge without character, commerce without morality, science without humanity, worship without sacrifice, and politics without principles.”
~ Mahatma Gandhi

“Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you’re a mile away and you have their shoes.”
~ unknown genius

  2. I like that one too from Steve Jobs:

“Again, you can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.”
